Catalina has an extensive teaching experience as a Spanish, English and French instructor. Her interests include creating effective second language learning activities, providing personalized instruction and enhancing the appreciation and value of different cultures and their heritage. As a lifelong learner herself, she has attended seminars in language acquisition in Puerto Rico, Ecuador and France. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education, Language Curriculum and Instruction , a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management,  and a Master’s Degree in Management of Institutions of Higher Education.

She is a creative and innovative professional who makes classes very communicative, engaging, fun and dynamic. She also uses her instruction time to connect with her learners and provide a safe and nurturing space for them.  Her dedication and passion for education made her the recipient of the Golden Apple Award Excellence in Education from the Portage County Business Council in 2011 , a prestigious award given in recognition of her passion, dedication and enthusiasm for teaching.
